This year’s observance will be held under a recurring theme: “Cheddi Jagan’s Vision, Our Living Guide.”

Dr Jagan died on March 6, 1997 while serving as President. Throughout his life Dr Jagan exerted himself in fighting to liberate the Guyanese people.
