PUBLIC SYMPOSIUM ON 12 TH ANNIVERSARY OF DEMOCRACY
The People's Progressive Party (PPP), as part of its October 5 activities to celebrate the return of democracy to the country, will be holding public symposia in each of the three counties of Guyana on October 5, 2004.
Addressing the Symposia under the theme “The impact of October 5 on the Quality of Life of the Guyanese People” would be senior Government and Party officials, including Prime Minister Samuel Hinds and PPP General Secretary Donald Ramotar.
The Georgetown Symposium will be addressed by a panel comprising Prime Minister Mr. Samuel Hinds, PPP General Secretary Mr. Donald Ramotar and Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon. The venue for the Symposium is the Freedom House Auditorium.
The Berbice Symposium will be addressed by Minister of Foreign Trade and International Cooperation, Mr. Clement Rohee and will take place at the Tain Campus of the University of Guyana .
The Essequibo Symposium would be addressed by Mr. Hydar Ally, Deputy Head of the Presidential Secretariat and will take place at the Reliance Party Office, Essequibo .
All of the Symposia commence at 5:00 PM .
The public is invited to participate in these activities.
